Two coats laid before me, an old and the newAnd I could have either of them less I doOne coat was ugly and terribly tornThe other, a new one and never been wornAnd I'll tell you the best thing I ever did doI laid off the old one and put on the newThe old coat was earthy and not meant to wearI pulled it off and shed me a tearWhen there was a new one presentеd to meI laid off the old one and put on thе newI'll tell you the best thing I ever did doI laid off the old coat and put on the newThe old coat was earthly and greenish brownThe other bears his image the whole world goes 'roundThe next was my savior over from Heaven so fairHe gave me his new coat that you see me wearI'll tell you the best thing I ever did doI laid off the old coat and put on the new
