When Tim McGraw left Curb Records back in 2013, he decided toCome over to the Big Machine Label Group, and we were thrilledTo have him and we're thrilled to have him back now. But theVery first song that he released off the first album thatHe put out on Big Machine Records was "Truck Yeah." It wasThe first song off of Two Lanes of Freedom and in a lot of waysIt kind of kicked off a new era of music for Tim McGrawYeah, I mean, there was a freshness to it. There'd been a slog for aWhile and there had been some good albums that were made, but theyWere made from a sort of a dark place, you know, and then sort ofI can always go back to Emotional Traffic, which is my last album onCurb Records and one of my favorite records, because thereWas a lot of personal angst that was put into that record andYou can hear it in the music and you can hear it in the tensionOf the album. And then going in and recording Two Lanes ofFreedom sort of just like, opened up the clouds and partedThe clouds for me to go make music. I just felt renewed andRefreshed and re-energized and felt like that I was finallyGetting my arms around my career and being able to step on the gasWell, like I said, this was originally featured on Tim McGraw'sTwo Lanes of Freedom album, but now it's part of the McGrawMachine Hits package, which is available now. This is "Truck Yeah."
