If I go M.I.A. right around sunset timeAfter a long hard day, you know where you can findMy Chevy dust cloud stir, behind some Goodrich tiresWay past the trespass sign by the barbed wireBulldog koozie wrapped around the bottleIf you don't see me 'til tomorrowBlame it on a two-lane, no-nameWay out in the middle of nowhereWhere that gravel gets you flyingLike a free bird, reverbOne hand out the window like I don't careBut I'm gonna keep on driving'Til there's peace of mind way deep down in my soulIf I got country on the radioYou can blame it on a backroadYeah, blame it on a backroadIf you can't call me up it's 'cause I ditched my phoneSomewhere in my backseat, yeah, I may not come homeFor like a day or two, don't worry, I ain't lostJust had to shake a little rust offBlame it on a two-lane, no-nameWay out in the middle of nowhereWhere that gravel gets you flyingLike a free bird, reverbOne hand out the window like I don't careBut I'm gonna keep on driving'Til there's peace of mind way deep down in my soulIf I got static on the radioYou can blame it on a back roadYeah, blame it on a back roadIf I got a bulldog koozie wrapped around the bottleIf you don't see me 'til tomorrowAw yeah, nobody worry, I ain't in no hurrySo don't you come looking for meBlame it on a two-lane, no-nameWay out in the middle of nowhereWhere that gravel gets you flyingLike a free bird, reverbOne hand out the window like I don't careBut I'm gonna keep on driving'Til there's peace of mind way deep down in my soulIf I got Waylon on the radioYou can blame it on a backroadYeah, blame it on a backroadGo on and blame it on the backroadYeah, you know, on the backroad
