Down on the house boat, remember all the fun?Down on the house boat, our moment in the sunFrom bay to bay, on Shasta LakeHey, we jumped ship for the baby's sakeWe doubted the party would ever endHey, you were my woman and I was your manAnd we made love 'neath the stars aboveAnd we jumped ship when the water got roughGot down the party barge, took your message to higher groundAnd moved in a cabin close to townThe party's not over, or so it seemsWe're still together and we still got dreamsWe're livin' on the river bank and rivers are funWe party on the river bank in the midnight sun
