We play a lot of golf, hang out all the time, done showsTogether. I was like, "How have we not written a song together?"So we come over and we're in Nashville and um, we go over toJesse's studio and I just look through my titles and I was like"I've always wanted to write this, like things he handed downYou know, like things your grandfather-" I said, "I never reallyGot to know my grandparents really well, not my two grandfathersThey both passed when I was probably five or six." (Wow)But my dad, he's still alive of course, but the stuff that IRemember most about my dad is just his calm, his demeanorAnd his wisdom. And you know, I'm like, so much more than justMaterial things. Well, T.R. just picks up a guitar and justStarts picking and it just comes out, like every line. I felt like I kinda got us kicked off and then itWas off to the races and we just had to hold on tight. But it'sA song that, I remember the first time, you know, after weRecorded it, I sent it to my dad and he reached out and was like"That's, that's really special."
