You know, well, hopefully they'll get that feeling as well becauseThat's, that's pretty much what, what you're listening to, you knowThat's what's going on up on that stage. My favorite part of the liveShow was, um, the beginning of it, because, you know, we're holdingDown this, this one note and I get to do some little feedback thingsOn the guitar which, you know, in, in, in, um, Tejano music is notVery, uh, common, you know, and, and not that we were gonna open withA Tejano song, but to come out with that heaviness, you know, um, itFelt really good for me as a guitar player and then to go into, umThese, you know, uh, pop tunes the– and, and have them, uh, mixed upThe way that AB does it, you know, um, just kinda rearranging themAnd, and adding, um, you know, the modern, uh, touch to it thatThat they had. Um, it was just for, for me it was a lot of fun toPlay those beginning songs and, you know, it's the first song ofThe show and I mean it's, like, just this pressure that, you knowIs boiling, you know, and, and it just all kinda just comes out onThat first song with the fans and, and the band and just the energyThat's going around that place, you know. You can pick it up onOn, uh, on the CD, you can hear it. Yeah, that w– that disco medleyWas something really new to us so I mean it felt fresh, you knowIt wasn't something that we had played, um, a hundred times beforeYou know. Um, that's one of the things about Los Dinos that a lotOf people don't realize that, that I've talked to is that we hardlyPracticed together, you know, I mean, if we were together in a roomIf I was in a room with AB and Rick, you know, it was to be thereWhile the music was being actually composed and arranged and, youKnow, be, you know, be there for that part of it. Um, but manI mean, there was probably about, I don't know, may– we probablyPracticed once or twice as a group together in a room, I mean, wePlayed so much live and it was almost like, uh, we could predict whatWas coming next, you know what I mean, what we were gonna do it– whenReally it was always changing up 'cause AB w– we'd never play theSame setlist. So, you know, I mean, this disco medleyFor us was a, was a new thing and, and, um, and SelenaJust totally took it and, and, you know, she sangShe sang it, uh, incredibly well and made it her ownThis concert was actually the third year in a row that we had done theConcert so we pretty much knew, you know, what we were– what wasGonna happen, you know, you're gonna wait here and then they'll takeYou on the little golf cart and blah blah blah blah blah blahThey'll turn down the lights. The oddest part about playing thisConcert is that it– they turn off the lights and you can't really seeThe people because they're so far away. So it's kinda hard to getInto it. And then ad– add on top of that it's a huge, I mean, it'sThe Astrodome, it's huge, so it takes your, your, your, your brain aLittle, uh, uh, a couple of seconds, well, maybe a little more thanA couple of seconds, to get used to the, to the bounce back of theMusic because when you start playing it bounces back and it's not inTime and you're like . You know, you're– and I have no rhythm toBegin with so, you know, for me, for you, particularly hard. But youGet used to it after a while. I like doing the, the disco medley, weHad learned it not, not long before, bef– bef– not long before thisThis concert. And, uh, well, I'm, I'm, I'm, I grew up in the time ofThe back in the 70s and 80s so, you know, it wa– it was fun playingThose songs and, and even though you couldn't see the crowd, uh, youKnow, you could hear 'em, I mean, they were, they were, they wereThere was a lot of, they made a lot of noise. And, uh, I was alwaysAmazed that for just 45 minutes or 50 minutes that we're up thereI mean, so many people would show up. I always thought that wasI mean, it was over, I guess from what I hear, over 60,000, 65, 66000 People and, uh, thought that that was, uh, that was pretty coolOn that show nothing really went wrong. One of the roadies gotTrapped and he had to, he spent the whole concert behind, behind oneOf the speakers 'cause they wouldn't let him out. They told him toStay there because there's cameras and you would just be in the wayAnd so he got stuck, but as far as playing-wise I mean I thinkEverything went pretty cool, no, there were no, I don't think thereWere any equipment failures or, which is something, I, I meanI guess e– every musician when you're playing, you know, you don'tThink about it but when it, you know, but it's there. But, uh, noThis one ran pretty smooth. I think that on, on this concert it wasA little bit different, you know, for Selena 'cause she had beenUh, you have to remember this was around the time that she was, uhRecording the other album, the Dreaming of You album, you know, sheWas recording songs and she'd, she'd been singing a lot of EnglishShe'd been doing, you know, she'd been, and you know, she'd beenVisiting with a lot of different producers and so she'd been hearingA lot of different things so on this one she, you know, you couldTell that she, you know, that, that her, there was more improvisingOn her part as far as singing. Uh, and just overall, for someReason I think this concert she, uh, she just looked so relaxedAnd she was so, uh, I don't, professional? I don't know whatThe word is, but she, uh, she, she really, she wailed, she jammedShe, uh, I think she really did good on this, on this particularConcert. And when you see it on video, you, I mean, you, youKnow, you, you can just tell. She understood that they wereYou know, that she was there to entertain and she, uh, andShe just turned it on. She was in command, she was in controlPara los fanaticos de Selena y Los Dinos, esto que se esta haciendo deVeinte anos de musica de Selena y Los Dinos es algo que es un laborDe amor.
